ShoreTel awarded UC leader status
If you were asked to choose a business partner between several different companies it is safe to assume that knowing a company’s influence in its industry would come into play. The same process happens when talking about investing.
The unified communications as a service (UCaaS) landscape, for example, if filled with providers and options. It can be a murky waters to wade through, unless you already know who the leaders are.
Research firm Gartner released their latest Magic Quadrant and has positioned UC solutions provider ShoreTel in the “Leaders Quadrant.” In order to be classified in that group, the company must have been delivering complete UC solutions for more than a year, have clients with at least 1,000 subscribers and more that 100,000 total endpoints in service.
According to Gartner analysts Daniel O’Connell and Bern Elliot, leaders are also able to address the full range of market needs and have the ability to change as the industry does.
ShoreTel’s president of cloud division Dan Hoffman reacted positively to the news.
“We consider our positioning in the Leaders quadrant by Gartner confirmation of our commitment to provide enterprise-class voice and UC services that are as easy to use as they are reliable and feature rich,” Hoffman said in a press release. “We will continue to lead the market by delivering product innovations that support the modern company, the modern workforce, and the new paradigm of mobile work.”
